Block Fcn creates a block-shaped signal.

The user must specify the following block-parameters:

  • the initial value of the signal (= final value)
  • the amplitude of the block (positive: upwards, negative: downwards)
  • the time when the block signal will start
  • the time when the block signal will stop.

These block-parameters have been illustrated in the figure below:

The final value of the block-signal will be equal to the initial value. If the user inadvertently specifies a stop-time that is smaller than the start-time, a warning message will be displayed, and both values will be swapped to obtain at least a meaningful simulation result.
